Smart and Good!

altaltaltalt

AT FPS we believe in the education of the whole child. Our learning community is fortunate to have strong ties to our local charities, local businesses and community groups that support us so that our students learn to be caring and respectful citizens.  We believe in giving back; staff are sponsoring a number of families this holiday season; students are busy gathering and donating food items to support our neighbours. Students and staff participated in our community parade in November. "Be Kind to Me" is our focus during bullying prevention week to promote awareness of showing respect and caring for others.

Each month the Kiwanis help us celebrate the HPEDSB character attributes so we are Growing With Character through Terrific Kids and our Falcon Awards. Our Student Leadership Group includes Grade 7 and 8 students who plan and organize theme days, dances and events. FPS is a Healthy Active School Community and student leaders plan and organize playground games to promote healthy living. Students regularly volunteer to support their peers and younger students on the playground and in the classroom with academics.

We want all of our children to be both smart and good!
